Description

Sweet and crunchy praline pecans that are perfect for snacking or as a topping for various dishes.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups Pecan halves
  • 1 cup Light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 large Egg white
  • 1 tablespoon Water
  • 1 sheet Aluminum foil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add the pecan halves and set them aside.
  3. In another bowl, combine the light brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and salt, and mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg white and water until frothy.
  5. Pour the egg white mixture over the pecans and toss to coat.
  6. Sprinkle the sugar mixture over the pecans and toss again until evenly coated.
  7. Spread the coated pecans in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  8. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, until golden brown and aromatic.
  9. Let them cool on the baking sheet and break apart any pecans that stick together.

Notes

Cool completely before storing in an airtight container. Will last up to 2 weeks at room temperature or 3 months in the freezer.
