- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, beef broth, and Italian seasoning. Bring to a simmer.
- Add the orzo and stir to combine. Cover and cook for about 10-12 minutes or until the orzo is tender and has absorbed most of the liquid.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, topped with Parmesan cheese if desired.
