Description

A simple yet rewarding tart combining rich flavors of almond and Medjool dates, perfect for dessert lovers.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Almond Flour
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 24 tbsp Water
  • 1 cup Medjool Dates
  • 1 cup Coconut Milk
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract (Optional)
  • 1/4 tsp Sea Salt
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Combine almond flour, maple syrup, and sea salt in a bowl.
  2. Add 2-4 tbsp of water gradually, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Press the mixture into a tart pan evenly.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Poke holes in the crust with a fork.
  6. Bake the crust for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden.
  7. Allow the crust to cool completely.
  8. In a blender, combine Medjool dates, coconut milk, vanilla extract, cornstarch, and sea salt.
  9. Blend until smooth and creamy, adding coconut milk if needed.
  10. Pour the filling into the cooled crust.
  11. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until set.
  12. Cool for at least an hour and serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

For added flavor, garnish with nuts or a sprinkle of sea salt before serving. This tart can also be chilled in the refrigerator for a more firm texture.
