Description

A delightful treat that combines the rich taste of cocoa with the satisfying crunch of oats and nuts, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert toppings.


Ingredients

  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts)
  • 1 cup coconut flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bars
  • 1 teaspoon flake sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped nuts, coconut flakes (if using), cocoa powder, salt, and coconut sugar. Mix well.
  4. Melt coconut oil and stir in maple syrup and vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the melted mixture over the dry ingredients and stir thoroughly.
  6. Spread the mixture onto the lined baking sheet and press it down slightly.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  8. Once done, sprinkle chocolate chips over the warm granola and let it cool completely on the baking sheet.
  9. Break into clusters and store in an airtight container.

Notes

Press the granola mixture down to create chunkier clusters, and feel free to swap nuts or sweeteners as desired.
