- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup chopped nuts (almonds, walnuts)
- 1 cup coconut flakes (optional)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bars
- 1 teaspoon flake sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped nuts, coconut flakes (if using), cocoa powder, salt, and coconut sugar. Mix well.
- Melt coconut oil and stir in maple syrup and vanilla extract.
- Pour the melted mixture over the dry ingredients and stir thoroughly.
- Spread the mixture onto the lined baking sheet and press it down slightly.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring halfway through.
- Once done, sprinkle chocolate chips over the warm granola and let it cool completely on the baking sheet.
- Break into clusters and store in an airtight container.
Notes
Press the granola mixture down to create chunkier clusters, and feel free to swap nuts or sweeteners as desired.
