A warm and hearty meal combining zesty beef sausage, creamy tomato sauce, and cheesy tortellini, all cooked in a slow cooker.

- 1 pound beef sausage
- 1 package (9 ounces) cheese tortellini
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a crockpot, combine the beef sausage, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chicken broth, and Italian seasoning. Stir well.
- Cover and cook on low for 360 minutes or on high for 240 minutes.
- About 30 minutes before serving, add the cheese tortellini and heavy cream to the crockpot. Stir and allow to cook until the tortellini are tender.
- Before serving, stir in the mozzarella cheese until melted.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve warm.
Notes
For best results, use quality sausage and avoid overcooking the tortellini.
