Description

Delightful french toast rolls filled with a sweet strawberry cream cheese mixture, crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, pureed
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Butter or oil for frying
  • Cinnamon sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and pureed strawberries in a bowl.
  2. Remove the crusts from the bread slices.
  3. Flatten each slice of bread with a rolling pin.
  4. Spread a layer of the strawberry cream mixture on each slice.
  5. Roll up the slices tightly.
  6. Whisk together the egg, milk, and vanilla extract in another bowl.
  7. Dip each bread roll into the egg mixture.
  8. Heat butter or oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  9. Fry the rolls until they are golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  10. Sprinkle optionally with cinnamon sugar before serving.
