- 1 block of firm tofu, pressed and cubed
- 2 tablespoons gochujang
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
- Cornstarch for coating
- Oil for frying
- Green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Press the tofu to remove excess moisture and then cut into cubes.
- Mix gochujang, soy sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger to create the sauce.
- Toss the tofu cubes in cornstarch until coated.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the tofu until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
- Reduce heat and add the sauce to the pan, coating the tofu evenly.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce is heated through.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
Notes
Be patient when frying and ensure your oil is hot enough. Remove excess moisture from the tofu for best results.
