Description

A delightful twist on the classic Reuben sandwich in a bite-sized form, perfect for parties and snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups corned beef, chopped
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup sauerkraut, drained and chopped
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying, as needed

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped corned beef, shredded Swiss cheese, drained and chopped sauerkraut, softened cream cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix everything together until well blended.
  2. Form the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter.
  3. Roll each ball in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the balls in batches for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Remove the balls and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve hot as an appetizer.

Notes

Ensure oil is at the right temperature to avoid greasy balls. Optionally, you can bake them for a healthier version.
