Description

Delicious and healthier baked turkey egg rolls filled with fresh vegetables and lean protein.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 cup grated carrots
  • 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 package egg roll wrappers
  • Cooking spray
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté for a minute.
  3. Add the ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  4. Stir in the cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface and place a few tablespoons of the turkey mixture in the center. Fold and roll it up, sealing the edges with a bit of water.
  6. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  7. Place the egg rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spray lightly with cooking spray.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  9. Serve warm with dipping sauce such as sweet and sour or soy sauce.

Notes

Don’t overfill the wrappers and ensure to seal them properly to prevent opening during baking.
