Description

A fun twist on traditional apple pie, these crispy apple pie taquitos are filled with sweet cinnamon apples and are perfect for a dessert or party treat.


Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (for serving)
  • Caramel sauce or powdered sugar (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Toss the diced apples with cinnamon and sugar until evenly coated.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Place a few spoonfuls of the apple mixture onto each tortilla and roll them up tightly.
  4. Brush the outside of each taquito with melted butter.
  5. Arrange the taquitos in the air fryer basket in a single layer and cook for 8-10 minutes, turning halfway through.
  6. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, and drizzle with caramel sauce or sprinkle with powdered sugar as desired.

Notes

Do not overfill the taquitos to prevent bursting. You can also freeze unbaked taquitos for up to a month.
