- 1 medium onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 28 ounce canned diced tomatoes
- 15 ounce tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Gather and prep all ingredients; dice onion, mince garlic, and chop bell pepper.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium-high heat until it’s no longer pink; drain excess fat.
- Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper to the pan; sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; let simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Cook pasta in boiling salted water according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- Preheat oven to 375°F; layer cooked pasta and beef mixture in a baking dish, top with cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly; let cool before serving.
