Description

A delightful dish that combines the smokiness of kielbasa with a creamy tomato sauce, perfect for busy weeknights and family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz Kielbasa
  • 16 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or spaghetti)
  • 2 TBSP butter
  • 2 TBSP minced garlic
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 8 oz cans tomato sauce
  • 3 TBSP tomato paste
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • Dried parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Slice the kielbasa into rounds and brown it in a skillet over medium heat. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. Add butter to the skillet and melt it. Sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy whipping cream, then add the tomato sauce and tomato paste. Stir to combine.
  5. Add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  6. Allow the sauce to simmer until it thickens slightly.
  7. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce in the skillet, tossing to coat.
  8. Return the kielbasa to the skillet and mix well.
  9. Serve hot, garnished with Parmesan cheese and parsley.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat on low heat and add a splash of cream or water to loosen the sauce if needed.
