- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 15 oz Italian sausage, crumbled
- 8 oz rigatoni (uncooked)
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 5 oz fresh spinach
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the crumbled Italian sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease.
- Add uncooked rigatoni, chicken broth, heavy cream, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, and tomato sauce to the skillet. Stir until pasta is coated.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, cover, reduce heat, and let cook for about 10-15 minutes until pasta is al dente, stirring occasionally.
- Mix in fresh spinach until wilted, about 2 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.
