Description

A delightful dish featuring a rich and creamy sauce that combines flavorful ground beef and perfectly cooked pasta for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb Ground Beef (or Sirloin Tips)
  • 12 oz Pasta (Penne, Fusilli, or Bowtie)
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
  • 5 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 cup Beef Broth
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Fresh Parsley, chopped
  • to taste Salt and Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. While pasta cooks, brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until cooked through. Drain excess grease and remove beef from the pan; set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and the butter begins to turn slightly golden.
  4. Whisk in the beef broth and heavy cream. Stir in the Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Let it simmer for 3-5 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
  5. Reduce heat to low. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add the cooked beef and pasta back into the skillet.
  6. Toss everything together until the pasta is well-coated. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve immediately.

Notes

Add vegetables like spinach or bell peppers for extra nutrition. This dish is great for leftovers but can get thicker, so add a splash of broth when reheating.
