Description
An easy no-bake Italian favorite, this creamy chocolate cannoli dip is rich, full of flavor, and perfect for sharing.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: Chocolate shavings or mini chocolate chips, Chopped pistachios, Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Check the ricotta cheese. If it is wet or loose, strain it through a fine mesh strainer for 20-30 minutes.
- In a medium mixing bowl, add the strained ricotta and mascarpone cheese, blending until smooth and creamy.
- Sprinkle in powdered sugar and cocoa powder, starting on low speed to avoid a mess, then gradually increase speed until fully incorporated.
- Mix in the vanilla extract until smooth and silky.
- Taste the dip and adjust sweetness with more powdered sugar or cocoa powder as preferred.
- If the dip is too thick, stir gently with a spatula to smooth; if too loose, chill in the fridge to firm it up.
- Transfer to a serving bowl. Chill for about 30 minutes for a firmer texture, or serve immediately with toppings added just before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
