- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 8 oz medium pasta shells
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil salted water in a large pot. Add pasta shells and cook until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic until browned (approximately 6-8 minutes). Drain excess fat.
- Add the beef broth and Italian seasoning to the skillet. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the heavy cream and simmer on low for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Fold the cooked pasta shells into the beef mixture until well-coated. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot, garnished with extra Italian seasoning.
