Description

A comforting dish that combines beef and a creamy sauce with pasta shells, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 8 oz medium pasta shells
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Add pasta shells and cook until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic until browned (approximately 6-8 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  3. Add the beef broth and Italian seasoning to the skillet. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and simmer on low for another 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  5. Fold the cooked pasta shells into the beef mixture until well-coated. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with extra Italian seasoning.

Notes

Pair with a garden salad or garlic bread for a complete meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
