Description

Delicious bars combining tart cranberries with heartiness of oats, perfect for a sweet snack or dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups rolled oats
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups whole cranberry sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until smooth and creamy.
  3. Mix in the flour, oats, salt, and vanilla extract until the mixture is crumbly.
  4. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan to create the base of the bars.
  5. Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the layer of dough.
  6. Crumble the remaining dough over the cranberry sauce to form the topping.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let cool before cutting into bars.

Store at room temperature for up to 3 days, in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze for up to 3 months.
