- 1 wheel of Brie cheese (approximately 8 oz)
- 1 cup of cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1/4 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
- 1 tablespoon of brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon of honey (optional)
- 1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- Fresh rosemary or thyme for garnish (optional)
- Crackers or sliced baguette for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until about 1/8 inch thick.
- Place the Brie cheese in the center of the rolled-out puff pastry.
- In a bowl, mix the cranberry sauce, chopped nuts, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Add honey if desired.
- Spoon the cranberry mixture over the Brie evenly.
- Fold the puff pastry edges over the Brie, sealing them tightly.
- Brush the pastry with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool for 5 minutes and garnish with herbs. Serve warm with crackers or baguette.
Notes
For best results, let the Brie sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before baking. You can prepare the wrapped Brie a day in advance and refrigerate until ready to bake.
