Description

A warm and easy-to-make pasta dish that combines pasta and broccoli, perfect for any meal.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (such as penne or fusilli)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. When the pasta has about 3 minutes left, add the broccoli florets to the boiling water. Drain pasta and broccoli together.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes), avoiding burning the garlic.
  3. Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet and toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Serve warm, topping with grated Parmesan if desired.
