- 8 oz pasta (your choice)
- 1 lb Italian sausage (sweet or spicy)
- 2 cups Brussels sprouts, halved
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
- Chopped parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
- Cook the Italian sausage until browned.
- Stir in the halved Brussels sprouts and cook until caramelized.
- Add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the pasta and cook according to package instructions, adding more broth if needed.
- Once cooked, stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm, garnished with chopped parsley.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. Reheat in short intervals in the microwave.
