Description

A delightful cookie dough frosting that adds indulgent flavor to any dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup softened butter (2 sticks)
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • â…“ cup all-purpose flour (baked and cooled)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp milk or cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Prepare the flour: Bake the flour at 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes or microwave for 1 minute, stirring every 15 seconds. Let it cool completely.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar: In a mixer, cream the softened butter, salt, and brown sugar on medium-high speed for 2-3 minutes until fluffy.
  3. Add the powdered sugar: Turn off the mixer, add the powdered sugar, and mix on low speed. Increase to medium speed for another minute.
  4. Incorporate the flour: Add the cooled flour and mix on low, then switch to medium speed for another minute.
  5. Finish the frosting: Add milk and vanilla, mixing on medium-low until combined, then beat on medium speed until fluffy.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips: Gently mix in mini chocolate chips with a spatula.

Notes

Don’t skip baking the flour to ensure safety. Use softened but not melted butter for best consistency.
