Description

A delightful breakfast dish that combines cinnamon rolls and French toast into a rich and comforting casserole.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

  2. Open the cans of cinnamon rolls and slice each roll into quarters, reserving the icing.
  3. Arrange the cut cinnamon roll pieces evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and granulated sugar until fully combined.
  5. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the arranged cinnamon roll pieces and drizzle melted butter on top.
  6. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the top is golden and the center is set.
  7. Remove from the oven and drizzle maple syrup and the reserved icing on top while warm.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before cutting into portions and serve warm.

Notes

Enjoy with fresh fruit, whipped cream, or a savory side of bacon or sausage.
