- 1 cup Butter, softened
- 1 cup Granulated sugar
- 2 cups All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 cup Brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons Ground cinnamon
- 3 oz Cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons Milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add in the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix until combined.
- Press the dough evenly into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture over the dough.
- Swirl the cinnamon mixture into the dough with a knife.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden and center is set.
- Allow to cool completely in the pan.
- Beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth for icing.
- Spread the icing over the cooled bars and slice into squares.
