Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 2 cups almond milk (or other non-dairy milk)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup (or to taste)
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional toppings: nuts, seeds, dried fruits

Instructions

  1. Rinse the quinoa under cold water.
  2. Combine quinoa, almond milk, cinnamon, and salt in a saucepan. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the quinoa is fluffy and liquid is absorbed.
  4. Stir in the diced apples and maple syrup, cooking for an additional 5 minutes until the apples are tender.
  5. Serve warm, topped with desired nuts, seeds, or dried fruits.
