Description

An exciting twist on classic cheesecake and churros, these bars combine creamy cheesecake filling with a buttery dough and cinnamon sugar topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans crescent roll dough
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • ½ cup heavy cream or full-fat sour cream
  • 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roll out one can of crescent roll dough in a greased baking dish to form the base.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  4. Add in the eggs, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt, mixing until well combined.
  5. Pour the cheesecake mixture over the crescent roll base in the baking dish.
  6. Roll out the second can of crescent roll dough and place it over the cheesecake layer.
  7. Brush the melted butter over the top, then sprinkle with cinnamon.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool, then refrigerate before serving. Slice into bars and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, ensure the cream cheese is softened before mixing, and use fresh ingredients for optimal flavor.
