- 1 bag of pretzels
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- Sea salt for sprinkling (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Spread pretzels in an even layer on the baking sheet.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and brown sugar together until boiling.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour the toffee mixture evenly over the pretzels, using a spatula to ensure even coating.
- Bake for 5-7 minutes, keeping a close eye until bubbly and caramelized.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips and sea salt on top while still hot.
- Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces for serving.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to a week. Can also be stored in the refrigerator but may lose some crunch.
