Description

A delightful treat combining the crunchiness of pretzels with a rich, buttery toffee coating, perfect for gatherings or a sweet snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 bag of pretzels
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • Sea salt for sprinkling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Spread pretzels in an even layer on the baking sheet.
  4. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and brown sugar together until boiling.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Pour the toffee mixture evenly over the pretzels, using a spatula to ensure even coating.
  7. Bake for 5-7 minutes, keeping a close eye until bubbly and caramelized.
  8. Sprinkle chocolate chips and sea salt on top while still hot.
  9. Allow to cool completely before breaking into pieces for serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container for up to a week. Can also be stored in the refrigerator but may lose some crunch.
