Description

Delightful and festive macarons shaped like Christmas trees, filled with buttery frosting and topped with sprinkles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups almond flour
  • 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • Green food coloring
  • Buttercream frosting (for filling)
  • Decorative sprinkles (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Sift together the almond flour and powdered sugar until well combined.
  3. Beat the egg whites until foamy, gradually adding the granulated sugar and continuing until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the egg whites, adding vanilla, almond extracts, and green food coloring as desired.
  5. Pipe the batter onto the prepared sheets in the shape of Christmas trees.
  6. Let the macarons sit at room temperature for 30-60 minutes to form a skin.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until they lift easily from the parchment. Cool on a wire rack.
  8. Fill cooled macarons with buttercream frosting and decorate with sprinkles.
