- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar, mixing until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan, spreading it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Remove from the oven and immediately pour the sweetened condensed milk over the hot brownies.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips, shredded coconut, and chopped nuts evenly over the condensed milk.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the toppings are golden and bubbly.
- Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
For best results, measure ingredients accurately and do not overmix the batter.
