Description

A delightful mix of sweet and salty flavors, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Saltine crackers
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (e.g., pecans or walnuts)
  • Sea salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring until it comes to a boil.
  4. Pour the butter mixture over the saltine crackers, spreading it evenly.
  5. Bake in the oven for about 5-7 minutes until bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
  7. Let the chocolate sit for a couple of minutes until melted, then spread it evenly.
  8. Sprinkle chopped nuts and sea salt on top, pressing down gently.
  9. Let it cool completely before breaking into pieces.

Notes

Keep an eye on the crackers while they’re in the oven to avoid burning. Use good-quality chocolate chips for the best flavor.
