A delightful dessert that combines the rich, fudgy texture of brownies with a light and airy chocolate mousse.

- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup chocolate ganache for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, melt the butter and stir in the sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, and salt together. Gradually stir into the butter mixture until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.
- Melt the semi-sweet chocolate in a bowl and allow it to cool slightly. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold into the cooled chocolate.
- Spread the chocolate mousse over the cooled brownies.
- Prepare the chocolate ganache by melting chocolate in a bowl. Allow to cool slightly, then pour over the mousse layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving. Cut into bite-sized pieces and enjoy!
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
