- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Hershey’s kisses, unwrapped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Gradually add flour, cocoa powder, and salt, mixing until well combined.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until slightly firm.
- Immediately press a Hershey’s kiss into the center of each cookie after removing from the oven.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- Dust with additional powdered sugar if desired before serving.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Add a slice of bread to maintain moisture. Freeze for longer storage.
