Description

Delightful chocolate-covered caramel apple slices that combine crunchy apples, sweet caramel, and rich chocolate, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium-sized apples (Fuji or Granny Smith recommended)
  • 1 cup of caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon of coconut oil (optional)
  • Toppings (optional): crushed nuts, sprinkles, sea salt, or any candy

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apples by washing and slicing them into thin wedges, removing the seeds.
  2. Melt the caramel sauce in a microwave-safe bowl for about 30 seconds, stir, and heat for another 30 seconds if needed.
  3. Dip each apple slice into the caramel sauce, allowing excess to drip off before placing on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Refrigerate the caramel-coated apple slices for 10-15 minutes to set the caramel.
  5. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl at 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. If desired, mix in coconut oil.
  6. Dip the caramel-coated apple slices into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off and placing back on parchment paper.
  7. Add toppings immediately after dipping in chocolate while still wet.
  8. Final chill in the fridge for another 15-20 minutes until the chocolate hardens.
  9. Serve the apple slices fresh or store for later enjoyment.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days in an airtight container. For best texture, add toppings immediately and avoid stacking.
