Description

A delightful and simple recipe for moist Chocolate Chip Banana Bread, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir the melted butter into the mashed bananas until well combined.
  4. Mix in the baking soda and a pinch of salt.
  5. Stir in the sugar, then the beaten egg, followed by the vanilla extract.
  6. Mix in the flour until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  7. Fold in the milk chocolate chips gently to distribute them throughout the batter.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Once cooled, melt the chocolate for drizzling and pour it over the top of the cooled bread.

Notes

Be cautious not to overmix to avoid dense bread. Using very ripe bananas enhances sweetness and moisture.
