Instructions
- Combine the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the bread flour, sugar, salt, and instant yeast.
- Add the warm water. Stir until a dough begins to form.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Incorporate the chocolate chips into the dough.
- Let the dough rise: Place it in a greased bowl, cover, and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare for boiling: In a large pot, bring water to boil and add molasses.
- Shape the bagels: Divide the dough into portions, roll into balls, and poke a hole in the center.
- Boil each bagel in boiling water for about 1 minute on each side.
- Bake on a lined sheet for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack before serving.
