Description

Delicious chocolate brownie cookies that combine the richness of brownies with the convenience of cookies. Perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Optional: 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar. Mix well until smooth and glossy.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and, if using, chopped nuts until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are set but centers are still soft.
  9. Allow to cool on baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
