Description

A quick and easy stir-fry packed with flavors, featuring ground beef and fresh cabbage.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 4 cups green cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece fresh ginger, grated
  • 3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by mincing the garlic and ginger and slicing the cabbage into thin strips.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  3. Add the lean ground beef and break it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about a minute until aromatic.
  5. Add the sliced cabbage and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until slightly wilted but still crunchy.
  6. Pour in the low-sodium soy sauce, stirring everything together and cooking for another 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  7. Just before serving, drizzle sesame oil over the stir-fry and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

Can be customized with different vegetables or proteins; ensure not to overcook the beef.
