- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and celery, and cook until softened.
- Stir in the flour, salt, pepper, and thyme, cooking for a minute.
- Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and milk, cooking until thickened.
- Stir in the cooked chicken and mixed vegetables.
- Pour the mixture into a pie dish.
- Cut the biscuit dough into quarters and place it on top of the chicken filling.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
