Description

A delightful dish combining tender chicken thighs, sweet apples, and creamy sauce for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 apples, cored and sliced
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh thyme for garnish

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chicken thighs and brown them on both sides until golden.
  3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until translucent.
  5. Add the sliced apples and cook until lightly caramelized, about 5 minutes.
  6. Return the chicken thighs to the skillet and pour in the apple cider.
  7. Cover the skillet and simmer for about 30 minutes, until chicken is tender.
  8. Stir in the heavy cream and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  9. Heat through and serve hot, garnished with fresh thyme.
