- 1 cup white chocolate melting wafers
- 1/4 cup holly berry sprinkles
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
Instructions
- Prepare the Chewy Maple Cinnamon Cookies dough according to the ‘Chewy Maple Cinnamon Cookies by Cooking with Carlee’ recipe. Ensure the dough is well-chilled before scooping to prevent excessive spreading.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Scoop dough into balls and place on prepared sheets, leaving 2 inches between cookies. Bake for 9-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and centers are slightly soft. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Melt white chocolate melting wafers using the microwave or double boiler method until smooth.
- Once cookies are completely cool and white chocolate is melted, dip the top of each cookie halfway into the melted white chocolate, allowing excess to drip off. Alternatively, drizzle white chocolate over the cookies.
- Immediately sprinkle holly berry sprinkles onto the wet white chocolate, working quickly to ensure they stick.
- Allow the decorated cookies to set on a wire rack or baking sheet for about 30-60 minutes at room temperature, or 10-15 minutes in the refrigerator.
