Description

Soft and chewy cookies made with ripe bananas and old-fashioned oats, packed with chocolate chips for a delightful treat.


Ingredients

  • ¾ cup brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mashed bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1½ teaspoons cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 3 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add mashed bananas, eggs, and vanilla extract; mix until fully combined.
  3. Sift in flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg; mix on low until incorporated.
  4. Fold in oats and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  5. Scoop dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets and shape if needed.
  6. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 8–9 minutes until edges are set and centers are soft; let cool before serving.
