Description
This Chesters Chicken Honey recipe features crispy, golden-fried chicken tossed in a sticky-sweet honey glaze. Comfort food, done right.
Ingredients
2 lbs chicken tenders or thighs
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup flour
½ cup cornstarch
1 tsp paprika
½ tsp garlic powder
Salt and pepper
Vegetable oil for frying
½ cup honey
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tsp crushed red pepper (optional)
Instructions
1. Marinate chicken in buttermilk with salt and pepper for 30 mins.
2. Mix flour, cornstarch, paprika, garlic powder.
3. Dredge chicken in flour mix.
4. Fry in hot oil 3–4 mins per side until crispy.
5. In saucepan, simmer honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper 2–3 mins.
6. Drizzle sauce over fried chicken and serve.
Notes
Double-dip flour for extra crunch.
Store leftovers in the fridge for 3 days.
Reheat in air fryer to restore crisp.
