Description

A comforting cheesy hamburger potato casserole that combines ground beef, creamy soup, and layers of potatoes, all topped with gooey cheddar cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 4 cups Potatoes, sliced
  • 1 can Cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Brown the ground beef and onion in a skillet until cooked through. Drain the excess fat.
  3. Mix the cream of mushroom soup and milk together in a large bowl.
  4. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish. Top with half of the beef mixture and half of the soup mixture. Repeat the layers.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Avoid overcooking the beef, cover with foil to keep moist, and ensure even potato slices for best results.
