Description

A comforting and hearty casserole made with ground beef, hashbrowns, creamy sauces, and melted cheese, perfect for any meal of the day.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 bag (30 oz) frozen hashbrowns
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, add a little oil and cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, draining any excess fat.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a large baking dish, layer half of the frozen hashbrowns, half of the cooked beef mixture, half of the creamy mixture, and half of the shredded cheese.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, finishing with a generous layer of cheese on top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

You can customize this recipe by swapping the meat for turkey or chicken or adding vegetables for extra nutrition.
