- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, heat a little olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until softened and translucent.
- Add the ground beef, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart as you go.
- In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, then the cooked beef mixture, followed by the remaining sliced potatoes.
- Mix the cream of mushroom soup with the milk until smooth and pour over the layers.
- Top with shredded cheese and cover the dish with foil.
- Bake for 45 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days. It can be frozen for up to 2-3 months.
