- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and ground beef to the skillet. Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef with sliced potatoes, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure everything is evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Top with shredded cheese for that delicious cheesy layer.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
