Description

A comforting and satisfying casserole with ground beef, tender potatoes, and creamy cheese, perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 medium potatoes, sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the chopped onion and ground beef to the skillet. Cook until the beef is browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked ground beef with sliced potatoes, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure everything is evenly coated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  6. Top with shredded cheese for that delicious cheesy layer.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the cheese is bubbly.
  9. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or use different kinds of cheese.
