Description
A fun and festive cheesy bread shaped like a Christmas tree, perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound pizza dough (store bought or homemade)
- 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese (cubed or shredded)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (chopped)
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ cup marinara sauce (for dipping)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional, for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into 1-inch squares.
- Place a cube of mozzarella in each dough square and pinch tightly to seal. Roll into balls and place seam side down.
- Arrange the dough balls on the baking sheet in a Christmas tree shape, starting from the bottom row and building upward.
- Mix melted butter, garlic, and half the parsley. Brush half over the dough balls and bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven, brush with remaining garlic butter, and sprinkle with Parmesan and parsley. Serve warm with marinara sauce.
Notes
For the best melt, use good mozzarella cheese. Optionally, you can add small pieces of ham or bacon for a meaty twist.
