A hearty and comforting casserole made with ground beef, potatoes, and gooey cheddar cheese, perfect for busy weeknights or family gatherings.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 medium potatoes, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef with chopped onions over medium heat until cooked through.
- In a large bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- In a greased baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes to cover the bottom.
- Spread the cooked ground beef mixture over the layer of potatoes.
- Pour half of the soup mixture over the beef.
- Layer the remaining potatoes on top of the beef.
- Pour the rest of the soup mixture over the top layer of potatoes.
- Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15 minutes until melted and bubbly.
Notes
Allow the casserole to cool completely before storing in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days.
