Description
A quick and tasty fish dish featuring flaky halibut topped with melted cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 halibut fillets
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Drizzle the olive oil in a baking dish and place the halibut fillets side by side.
- Season each fillet with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper, ensuring the seasonings stick.
- Top each fillet with a good layer of shredded cheese, spreading it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the halibut is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The cheese should form a light golden top.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve right away.
Notes
Pat the fish dry before seasoning for better browning. Avoid overbaking to prevent drying out the fish.
