Description
Cheesecake Egg Rolls are a delightful twist on traditional desserts, combining crispy, creamy bites that are perfect for parties or as a sweet treat after dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1 large egg
- 10 egg roll wrappers
- Vegetable oil for frying
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, sour cream, and the egg. Beat this mixture until smooth and creamy.
- Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner pointing towards you. Place 2 tablespoons of cheesecake filling in the center, fold the bottom corner over, fold in the sides, and roll tightly to seal. Use a little water on your fingers to seal the edges.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the egg rolls in batches for 3-4 minutes until golden brown, turning occasionally for even cooking. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Roll warm egg rolls in this mixture to coat.
Notes
These egg rolls are best enjoyed fresh. Fry them just before serving for maximum crunchiness.
