Description

Delightful bite-sized desserts that combine classic apple pie flavors with gooey caramel filling in a flaky pastry crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of refrigerated pie crusts
  • 2 cups diced apples
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix diced apples, caramel sauce, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice until well combined.
  3. Roll out the pie crust and cut into circles (about 4 inches in diameter).
  4. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each circle.
  5. Fold the crust over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  6. Place the bombs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Beat the egg and brush over the tops of the bombs.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Avoid overfilling to prevent bursting. Ensure edges are sealed tightly.
